Kuria Ndungu is a seasoned researcher with extensive experience in analytical chemistry and environmental science. Currently serving as a Senior Researcher at NIVA since November 2012, Kuria's work focuses on the transport and recovery of anthropogenic inorganic chemicals in the environment. Prior to this, Kuria held positions as a Senior Researcher and Associate Professor at Stockholm University, specializing in the bio geochemical cycling of trace metals in the Baltic Sea. Kuria also has a strong background in marine research, having served as a postdoctoral fellow at both the University of California, Santa Cruz, and Lund University. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Lund University, a Master's from the University of Botswana, and a Bachelor's degree from Kenyatta University.
