Odd Arne Skogan

Odd Arne Skogan has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Odd Arne started their career at Optoplan AS as a Project Engineer, where they focused on the development and testing of subsea equipment, specifically fibre optic sensors. After two years, they moved on to Sectra as a Project Engineer, where they primarily worked on software and hardware installation projects in hospitals and X-ray clinics. Odd Arne then joined Philips Healthcare as a Field Engineer, responsible for field service and maintenance of medical x-ray systems. Currently, Skogan holds the position of Head Instrument Engineer at NIVA, where they provide instrument and sensor solutions for research projects and consultancy assignments related to water research and monitoring. their work includes project planning, designing and building systems, and field service.

Odd Arne Skogan obtained their MSc/Siv.ing. degree in electronics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) between 1999 and 2005. In addition to their formal education, they hold certifications in various areas. Odd Arne completed the "Elements of AI" course from the University of Helsinki in March 2022. In October 2016, they obtained the "Basic Safety and Emergency Training, in accordance with OLFs guidelines 002" certification from Falck Nutec. Furthermore, Odd Arne Skogan achieved "Duolingo Spanish Fluency: Elementary (Estimated)" certification from Duolingo in August 2015.
