Filippo Comelli is the current Executive Vice President of Project Development and Finance at Norsk Solar. Prior to this, they served as the Head of International Business Development at Phelan Energy Group from September 2014 to November 2019.
Comelli is responsible for business development, financing, EPC, JVs, and energy storage across multiple key markets including Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Filippo has successfully secured over 200 MW of solar projects and led the commercial and technical decisions for some of the world's largest solar tenders.
Phelan Energy Group is an integrated independent solar power producer that delivers affordable and sustainable clean energy worldwide. The company has installed and grid connected 260 MW of solar power with a further 120 MW under construction. PEG has solar plants grid connected in South Africa, India, and Afghanistan.
Filippo Comelli's educational career includes an executive education from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford in impact investing, as well as an MBA from emlyon business school with a major in finance and new venture management. Filippo has also attended executive summer school at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in corporate finance and strategy. Their master's degrees are in international marketing and management from Copenhagen Business School and international business from CEMS - The Global Alliance in Management Education. Filippo also has a CEMS degree in international management from Université catholique de Louvain and Stockholm School of Economics, as well as a business Spanish course from Esade. Their undergraduate degree is in business administration from Università Bocconi, and they have also completed an exchange program in international management at University College Dublin.
