Pedro A.

Pedro A. has over 30 years of experience in operations, engineering, and procurement in the aerospace and renewable energy businesses. Pedro is a Six Sigma Green Belt and has expertise in advanced and strategic negotiations, global commodity management, strategic sourcing, supplier development, supply market intelligence, capital and operational expenditure sourcing and procurement, life cycle cost analysis and modelling, value analysis/value engineering, continuous improvement, operational excellence, lean sourcing, contract management, compliance, full-turnkey, EPC, employee engagement, sustainability, and CSR.

Pedro began their career in 2000 as Director of Project Management/MD Iberia Region at GE Energy, where they managed sales and marketing activities in Spain and Portugal for products such as GE 750kW, GE 1.5 MW, and GE 2.X MW. Pedro was then Director of Project Development at SunEdison from 2014 to 2016, where they led a 25-person team to create and evaluate SunEdison's renewable energy pipeline in the EMEA and LatAm regions.

From 2016 to 2019, Pedro A. was Co-Founder of WellWise - Empresas Saludables, where they collaborated with organizations to improve employee health, welfare, and performance. During this time, they were also a Researcher PhD Candidate at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, researching wellbeing programs in companies and their impact on company goals and talent retention.

In 2019, Pedro A. joined Canadian Solar EMEA GmbH as Director of Turnkey and O&M Services - EMEA - MSS, where they generated and closed turnkey opportunities and led project execution for EMEA based clients. Pedro also volunteered for solar energy projects at Energía Sin Fronteras - EsF. Currently, Pedro A. is Vice President SCM at Norsk Solar.

Pedro A. has a diverse educational background, beginning with Colegio Salesiano Santo Domingo Savio-Madrid from 1971 to 1979. Following this, they completed a COU at INB Ramiro de Maeztu in 1979-1980. In 1980-1986, Pedro A. earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in Aeronautics/Aviation/Aerospace Science and Technology, General from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. From 1991-1992, they obtained an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from IE Business School. In 1995-1996, they completed a CMS in Business Administration, Management and Operations from the University of Lincoln. Finally, from 2010-2012, Pedro A. earned a Master’s Degree in Physical Activity and Sports from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.
