Brandy Newell is an experienced educator currently serving as a High School Social Studies Teacher at North Allegheny School District since April 2019, teaching AP European History, Modern American History & Politics, and Fundamentals of American Government. Previous teaching positions include a Central Services Teacher at EdisonLearning, a Long Term Substitute Teacher at Seneca Valley High School, and various roles at Burrell High School, where Brandy taught subjects such as 8th grade ELA and high school Speech. Prior to a career in education, Brandy worked in the hospitality industry as a Server and Shift Manager at Houlihan's Restaurants, Inc., and held a position with Pearson as a Faculty and Field Service Representative. Brandy holds a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Saint Joseph's University and two Bachelor's Degrees in History and Criminal Justice from Penn State University.
