Esaúl Ramírez has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Esaúl started their career as a Technology Marketing Intern at The University of New Mexico, where they conducted market research and assisted in the preparation of business/marketing plans. Later, they worked as a Risk Analysis Intern at PNM Resources before becoming a Graduate Assistant at the University of New Mexico's Anderson School of Management, where they conducted research on topics related to international business.

Ramírez then joined Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) as a Gas Supply Planning Analyst, collaborating on gas supply plans, forecasts, and winter hedging programs. Esaúl also performed financial analysis on capital investment projects and conducted natural gas market research. After that, they moved up to the role of Gas Supply Planning Analyst II.

In 2005, Ramírez joined PNM Resources as a Senior Risk Analyst and eventually became the Manager of Financial Risk Management, where they were responsible for managing financial risks. In 2010, they transitioned to the North American Development Bank, first as a Credit Analysis Officer leading a team that carried out credit and risk analysis for infrastructure projects. Esaúl also played a key role in developing a model for presenting renewable energy projects and identifying expert advisors.

Ramírez's most recent role at the North American Development Bank is as the Associate Director of Infrastructure Financing and Financial Services. Esaúl has been serving in this position since November 2017.

From 1999 to 2002, Esaúl Ramírez attended The University of New Mexico, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Esaúl specialized in Management Information Systems as their major and Economics as their minor. After completing their undergraduate studies, they continued their education at The University of New Mexico and obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from 2002 to 2004. Their focus during their MBA program was on Finance and International Management.
