North Branch Works -formerly the Local Economic and Employment Development (LEED) Council- is the leading community and economic development organization in the North River and Addison Industrial Corridors, which runs three and a half miles north- west of Chicago’s central business district. For over 30 years, our local expertise and deep government and neighborhood relationships have helped promote environmentally sustainable economic development linked to workforce development and job creation. North Branch Works emphasizes new growth, land use and revitalization through our business advocacy and innovative solutions. As a delegate agency of the City of Chicago, we work with over 700 local businesses providing economic development and employment services resulting in business retention and job growth.
