Nannette Smith Funderburk Ph.D.

Nannette Smith Funderburk PhD, LCMHCS, serves as the Owner of The Social and Emotional Learning Group since August 2008, where clinical oversight is provided. Since January 2008, Nannette has been an Adjunct Faculty member at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, contributing to the education of emerging psychotherapists. Previous roles include serving as Adjunct Faculty in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at South University from April 2013 to October 2014 and as Assistant Director of Student Academic Services at the University of North Carolina Greensboro from September 2007 to September 2009. Earlier in the career, Nannette worked as an Administrative Assistant in the Office of the Provost at the University of North Carolina Greensboro from 1999 to 2003. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling from North Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Communication from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
