Deputy Director, Small Business Center Network at North Carolina Community College System

Mark Hagenbuch has a diverse work experience in the field of education and small business support. Mark currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Small Business Center Network at the North Carolina Community College System since February 2023. Previously, they were the Director of the Small Business Center at Guilford Technical Community College from 2001 to February 2023. Prior to that, Mark worked as a Lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1995 to 2015. Mark also served as a Business Counselor at SBTDC from 1996 to 2001.

Mark Hagenbuch attended the University of Michigan from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics. Mark then pursued further education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a Master's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Mark Hagenbuch has obtained several certifications. In June 2020, they became a NACCE Certified Member College, awarded by the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship. In February 2020, they completed the Learning Canva certification offered by LinkedIn. Lastly, in July 2019, they obtained the Learning Slack certification from Lynda.com.
