Jesse Jur

Jesse Jur is a highly experienced professional in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, currently serving as the Deputy Director for the Office of Science, Technology & Innovation at the North Carolina Department of Commerce. Previous roles include Director of Technical Program Development and Director of Ecosystem Technology at Advanced Functional Fabrics of America (AFFOA). Jesse has also held academic positions at North Carolina State University, including Professor of Textile Engineering, Chemistry & Science, and Director of the Textile Engineering and Textile Technology Capstone Design Course, as well as leading efforts as a Thrust Leader in the NSF ERC on Advanced Self-powered Systems of Integrated Sensors & Technologies. Earlier experience includes a role as Process Development Engineer at NeoPhotonics.
