Ron Leitch

Ron Leitch has extensive experience in economic development and leadership roles across various organizations. Since 1996, Ron has served as an Economic Developer for the NC Department of Commerce. Prior to this, Ron was the President of Hickory Furniture Galleries from 1986 to 1992, where significant retail operations were established and managed. Ron also held the position of President at both the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce (1980 - 1985) and the Scotland County Chamber of Commerce (1973 - 1977). Additional experience includes serving as Vice President at the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce (1973 - 1975) and Manager of Public & Government Affairs at the Catawba County Chamber of Commerce (1970 - 1973). Ron's early career included a role as Director of Development at St. Andrews Presbyterian College (1977 - 1980). Academically, Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of South Carolina, completed in 1966, following graduation from Dreher High School in 1961.
