Tim Johnson has extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Tim began their career in 1991 as an Agency Services Assistance Program Supervisor at Donegal Insurance Group. Tim then moved on to Virginia Farm Bureau in 1999, where they worked as a Personal Lines Supervisor, overseeing the underwriting department and collaborating with the sales department for growth. Tim joined Johnson Palmetto Group, LLC in 2011 as a Manager before taking on roles at the North Carolina Department of Insurance in 2012. At the Department of Insurance, they served as the P & C Operations Manager, responsible for reviewing and approving rate, rule, and policy form filings. Tim was later promoted to Division Chief of Risk Management in the OSFM division. Tim holds various certifications, including AU, API, and AFIS.

Tim Johnson earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Economics from the University of Maryland between the years 1982 and 1986.
