Natalia Botella

Natalia Botella currently serves as the Director of the Public Protection Section and Special Deputy Attorney General with the NC Department of Justice since June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Deputy Director of the Public Protection Section and Special Deputy Attorney General, and Policy Advisor at the Office of NC Governor Roy Cooper, where policy agendas were developed and implemented. Additional legal experience includes serving as an attorney at the Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy and various internships focused on healthcare law, civil rights, and legal support for underserved communities. Natalia Botella holds a Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
