Scott Stroud

Section Head / Human Services-medical Facilities at NC Department of Justice

Scott Stroud has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Scott started their career as an Assistant District Attorney at the State of North Carolina-8th District in December 1997, where they served until July 1999. Scott then joined Walker Allen Grice Ammons & Foy as an Associate in August 1999 and worked there until August 2003. In September 2003, they joined the NC Department of Justice as an Assistant Attorney General, a position they held until March 2014. Scott then became a Special Deputy Attorney General at the NC Department of Justice from April 2014 to January 2017. Currently, they serve as the Section Head of Human Services-Medical Facilities at the NC Department of Justice, a role they have held since January 2017.

Scott Stroud attended North Carolina State University from 1990 to 1994, where they received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management. Scott then pursued a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, from 1994 to 1997.
