Vanessa Davison

Vanessa Davison has extensive work experience in procurement, contracting, and administration. Vanessa is currently the Director of Procurement & Contracts at the North Carolina Department of Revenue, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Contracting Agent at the North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees from April 2021 to April 2023. Vanessa also served as a Contract Specialist at the NC Office of State Human Resources from February 2017 to April 2021. Before that, they worked as an IT Contracts Specialist at the Department of Information Technology from August 2013 to January 2017. Vanessa's earlier roles include Assistant Director of Procurement & Contracting at the North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources from October 2012 to July 2013, Contract Specialist at the North Carolina State Health Plan for Teachers and State Employees from November 2009 to May 2012, and Lead Contracting Officer/Business Officer II at the NC Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance from January 2005 to November 2008. Vanessa also worked as a Contracting Officer/Administrative Officer III at the NC Department of Health & Human Services, Division of Medical Assistance in 2004, and as a Purchasing Agent II at the NC Department of Correction from November 2000 to February 2004. Throughout their career, Vanessa has demonstrated expertise in procurement processes, contract development and management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

Vanessa Davison attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 1980 to 1984, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design.
