Madison MacKenzie

Madison Mackenzie is a Senior Attorney at the North Carolina Education Lottery, having held the position since August 2023. Prior to this role, Madison served as Deputy Director of Regulatory and Legal Affairs at the NC Department of Health and Human Services from December 2022 to March 2023. Madison's extensive legal experience includes positions at the NC Real Estate Commission as Deputy Legal Counsel and Associate Legal Counsel from February 2017 to December 2022, as well as various roles at the NC Department of Justice within the Medicaid Investigations Division, ranging from Civil Paralegal to Criminal Paralegal and Program Assistant from August 2011 to February 2017. Additionally, Madison gained early legal experience as a Legal Intern at The Pattis Law Firm in early 2011. Madison holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, Magna Cum Laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law and dual Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Appalachian State University.
