Meghan Cook

Meghan Cook is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Legislative Counsel at the North Carolina Department of Insurance since February 2017. In addition, Meghan has held the role of Legislative Liaison and Assistant General Counsel for the State of North Carolina since March 2014. Prior to these positions, Meghan worked as a Civil Litigation Attorney at Merritt, Webb, Wilson & Caruso, PLLC, from August 2011 to March 2014, and as an Insurance Defense Attorney at Stephenson, Stephenson & Gray from November 2010 to July 2011. Meghan holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Charlotte School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science and Government from North Carolina State University, supplemented by education at Salem Academy.
