Chris Cowperthwaite, APR has a background in broadcast journalism and has held various communication roles throughout their career. They have experience in media reporting, anchor roles, public relations, website management, social media, and video production. Currently, at the North Carolina Nurses Association, they serve as the Director of Communications and Outreach, overseeing various communication responsibilities and playing a key role in the organization's legislative strategy. In previous roles, they have managed magazines, led communication teams, and excelled in breaking news situations. Additionally, they have served as a member of advisory groups related to COVID vaccine communications.
