Sarah Raffurty

Sarah Raffurty is an experienced development professional currently serving as the Director of Development for North Carolina Opera since November 2024. Previously, Sarah held the position of Director of Development, Class Campaign at The Citadel Foundation from July 2023 to October 2024, and worked as a Development Manager for The Cavaliers between April 2022 and January 2024. Other notable roles include Membership Manager at the International African American Museum, Coordinator of Development Events at Powell Gardens, Inc., and various teaching and instructional positions at Syracuse University. Sarah's early career includes positions in customer service and community assistance, contributing to a strong foundation in communication and organizational skills. Sarah holds a Master's degree in Museology/Museum Studies from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Purdue University, along with an Associate's Degree in History from Cottey College.
