David Alexander is currently the Chief Information Officer at North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority. Prior to this, David was the Chief Information Officer at Shaw University and also worked as an IT Manager at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. David has a strong background in Information Technology, holding roles such as Founder/Consultant at Chapel Hill Tech and Computer Repair Technician at Duke University. David holds a Master of Business Administration from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech.

As the state agency that promotes access to education in North Carolina, we help students of all ages pay for their education. Our collaborative, College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), assists thousands of students each year plan, apply and pay for college. We also provide resources for students and families to save and pay for education, teach educators how to navigate financial aid programs, administer student grant, scholarship and loan programs, and advocate for resources to support students of all ages.
