Colin Russell

Colin Russell currently serves as the Legislative Liaison at the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer since January 2025. Prior to this role, Colin held the position of Legislative Counsel in the Office of House Majority Leader Brenden Jones from February 2024 to January 2025. Colin's experience includes serving as the Government Affairs Director at the NC Association of REALTORS® from January 2023 to January 2024, along with a legal internship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in late 2021. Additional internships include positions at Ward and Smith, P.A., the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of North Carolina, and the North Carolina General Assembly. Colin began professional experience as a Legislative Clerk for Senate President Pro Tempore Phil Berger in 2019 and was a Presidential Scholar at the University of North Carolina System. Colin holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Political Science from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.
