Ricardo G. Maggi is a Professor and Co-Director of the Intracellular Pathogens Research Laboratory at North Carolina State University, where since February 2003, important work has been conducted in novel molecular assay development for vector-borne and zoonotic diseases. Previous experience includes roles as Associate Professor, Postdoctoral Research Associate, CLIA Technical Supervisor and CTO at Galaxy Diagnostics, Co-Director of Molecular Diagnostic Services at the Vector-Borne Diseases Diagnostic Laboratory, and Principal Investigator at the Caribbean Center for Marine Studies. Academic qualifications include a post-doctorate in Molecular Diagnostics from North Carolina State University, a PhD in Chemistry-Molecular Microbiology, and a Licentiate in Biological Chemistry from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba.
