Farida Badr

Farida Badr, Ph.D., is an experienced educator currently serving as a Teaching Faculty member at Florida State University since 2024, where responsibilities include coordinating the placement test and facilitating Arabic Language House activities. Badr has held multiple teaching roles, including at the University of South Carolina and Aarhus University, Denmark, and has a long-standing position as an Online Arabic instructor specialist at The Johns Hopkins University. Other notable experiences include serving as an Arabic instructor and coach at North Carolina Virtual Public School, as well as a previous role as Dean of Al-Waha at Concordia College. Badr's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Education from Cairo University, focusing on Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language, along with various degrees in linguistics and educational technology.
