Melissa Niedfeldt has had a diverse work experience. Melissa started their career in 2010 as a Case Manager at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood County, where they worked until 2013. In the same year, they joined Wood County Human Services as a Crisis Interventionist, and they also worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor/Case Manager at ATTIC Correctional Services, Inc. from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they became a Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor at North Central Health Care. Currently, they are working at The Caring Tree - Child & Family Counseling as a Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor starting from 2022.
Melissa Niedfeldt has a strong educational background in the field of education and counseling. Melissa began their academic journey in 1998 at the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield Wood County, where they obtained an Associate Degree in General Education. Continuing their studies, Melissa then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Family Life Education at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, which they completed in 2003. With a dedication to furthering their knowledge and skills, Melissa went on to enroll at Lakeland University in 2011, where they successfully obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Community Counseling in 2013. Their education in both Family Life Education and Community Counseling indicates a well-rounded background in supporting individuals and families in various aspects of their lives.
