Carson Starkey

Carson Starkey possesses extensive experience in labor organizing and advocacy, currently serving as an Organizer for the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters since May 2018. Prior roles include Business Agent/Organizer for UNITE HERE Local 17 and Organizer for SEIU Healthcare. Starkey also held the position of Director at the Illinois Fair Trade Coalition and Fellow at The Mission Continues. Additional experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at Minnesota State University, Moorhead, and organizing for the Democratic Farmer Labor Party. Carson's military background includes duty as a Combat Medic in the United States Armed Forces. Academically, Carson earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
