Bettie Caldwell, CPA has an extensive and diverse work experience in the finance and healthcare industry. Starting in 1989 as a Respiratory Therapist at St Francis Hospital Beech Grove, Bettie later worked as a Respiratory Therapy Clinician at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana. In 2002, they transitioned into accounting and became a Staff Accountant at Thomas & Co, CPAs. Bettie then served as an Accounting Manager at Ontario Systems before joining Estep*Doctor & Company, PC as a Senior Accountant, specializing in tax work. Bettie then held the role of Controller at Midwest HealthStrategies, Inc. and then became the Coordinator-Financial Operations at Ball Memorial Hospital. In 2011, Bettie took on the position of Vice President of Finance/CFO at LifeStream Services, Inc. Following that, they served as the Director of Finance and later as the Director of Finance-Supplemental at Indiana University Health. Most recently, Bettie worked as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at North Country Hospital starting in November 2022.
Bettie Caldwell, CPA, holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting from Anderson University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in Respiratory Therapy, earning an A.S. from Vincennes University between 1979 and 1981.
In addition to their educational background, Bettie has achieved the certification of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of Vermont in April 2021.
