Scott Shroyer is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the transportation sector. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at North County Transit District since April 2015, Scott has held various roles including Senior Rail Engineer and Civil Engineer within the organization. Prior to this, Scott worked at Richard Brady & Associates as a Project Engineer, and at Structural Technology Consultants and The Louis Berger Group in associate engineering positions. Scott completed a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural and Construction Engineering from Purdue University between 1997 and 2001.

North County Transit District is the primary public transportation system in North San Diego County. Every year, millions of passengers ride our COASTER commuter trains, SPRINTER hybrid rail trains, BREEZE buses, FLEX and LIFT paratransit. Our team is committed to providing safe, convenient, reliable and user-friendly transportation services to people in the region. We have more than 63 miles of rail lines serving 23 stations, and 30 BREEZE bus routes with more than 1,600 stops. In recent years, we added new COASTER locomotives that have a 90% emission reduction compared to other locomotives and 64% more horsepower. Since FY19, we have also added 70 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses to the BREEZE fleet.
