Amy Tang is a seasoned health professional specializing in immigrant health and hepatitis B management. Currently serving as the Director of Immigrant Health at North East Medical Services since November 2019, Amy focuses on addressing diseases that disproportionately affect immigrant populations, including hepatitis B and tuberculosis. North East Medical Services

North East Medical Services (NEMS) is one of the largest community health centers in the United States targeting the medically underserved Asian population. Based in San Francisco, the non-profit community health center offers comprehensive health care services to a variety of patients, a majority of whom are uninsured or low-income. NEMS offers linguistically-competent and culturally-sensitive health care services in many languages and dialects, including Cantonese, Mandarin, Toishan, Vietnamese, Burmese, Korean, French, and Hindi. NEMS operates several clinics throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, spanning three counties. Our main clinic is located at 1520 Stockton Street in Chinatown/North Beach; with additional clinics in San Francisco's Portola, Visitacion Valley, Richmond, Tenderloin and Sunset districts; as well as Daly City and San Jose.
