Leanne Hilligas

Leanne Hilligas is an experienced early childhood education professional with a diverse background in teaching, program development, and family support. Currently serving as a Parent Educator at North Kansas City Schools since August 2020, Leanne is part of a celebrated Parents as Teachers program, supporting over 450 families annually. Additionally, Leanne has been an Adjunct Faculty member at Park University since January 2017, teaching undergraduate courses and fostering community-based learning. Previous roles include Early Care and Education Specialist and Training Coordinator at The Family Conservancy, where Leanne designed over 200 professional development courses annually. Leanne's earlier experience includes a Project EAGLE Educare Temporary Teacher position at the University of Kansas Medical Center and a Lead Teacher role at Holy Cross Lutheran Early Childhood Center. Leanne holds a Master’s Degree in Adult Education from the University of Saint Mary and a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Leadership from Park University.
