Michelle McKenna

Michelle McKenna is an experienced professional in trading standards, currently serving as the Trading Standards Manager at North Lanarkshire Council since December 2021, where Michelle also leads joint initiatives with Environmental Health related to Covid-19. McKenna has been a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner and a full member of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute since May 2005, contributing as the CTSI Scottish Branch Chair. Previous roles include Senior Trading Standards Officer and Trading Standards Officer at North Lanarkshire Council from 2007 to 2021, and a brief tenure as Team Leader for the 2011 Census at the Scottish Government. McKenna began their career as a Trainee Trading Standards Officer at Stirling Council from 2003 to 2007, following a BA in Consumer Protection for Trading Standards and Consumer Law from Glasgow Caledonian University.
