Fiona Murphy

Fiona Murphy has extensive work experience in the banking and digital sectors. Fiona currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at The Co-operative Bank since June 2022, and previously held the position of General Manager Digital from April 2018 until June 2022.

Prior to their current role, Fiona worked at Kiwibank from November 2014 to April 2018, where they held the position of Head of Digital and Self Service Channels. Fiona also served as the Strategy Execution Manager from August 2012 to November 2014 and as Customer Market Manager from October 2011 to August 2012.

Before joining Kiwibank, Fiona worked at ANZ from October 2010 to November 2011, where they held the role of Senior Manager - Online Sales and Website Optimization. Fiona also served as the Strategic and Operational Planning Manager from January 2009 to September 2010.

Fiona has had earlier roles at ANZ National Bank as the Head of Invest Program from May 2008 to December 2008, at National bank as a Senior Portfolio Manager from July 2006 to September 2007, and as a Business Development Manager from an unspecified time in 2005 to July 2006.

Earlier in their career, Fiona held positions at Thomson Brookers as a Portfolio Manager from June 2003 to May 2005, at Haines NZ Ltd. as the Channel Manager, NZ Jobs from March 2002 to May 2003, at eFinancialCareers as a Senior Account Manager from March 2000 to December 2001, at Colonial First State as a Customer Service Officer from January 1999 to March 2000, and at the Department for Courts as a Collections Officer from February 1998 to January 1999.

Fiona Murphy studied at the University of Otago from 1994 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a Diploma for Graduates in Psychology.
