Gareth Marks has a diverse background in the arts, starting as a professional actor with organizations such as the Royal Shakespeare Company and the BBC. Gareth then transitioned into teaching, working as a Drama Teacher at The Gryphon School and later becoming the Head of Drama at North London Collegiate School Jeju. At NLCS Jeju, Gareth led a dynamic Drama Department and organized an annual Arts Festival that showcased student-generated performances and attracted internationally renowned theater practitioners. Following their tenure at NLCS Jeju, Gareth became the Head of Faculty for Creative and Technical Arts at King Henry VIII College Malaysia, where they played a key role in establishing the inaugural Arts Festival. Currently, Gareth is set to become the Head of Drama at North London Collegiate School in Singapore, starting in 2023. Additionally, they have taught acting at Arts Educational Schools London and Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, and has organized and led drama summer schools for young people.
Gareth Marks attended Foster's Grammar School in Sherborne from 1986 to 1993. After completing their time at Foster's Grammar School, Gareth Marks enrolled at Lancaster University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Theatre Studies.
