Melanie Jane Newman

Melanie Jane Newman is an experienced professional in community engagement, development, and education. Currently serving as the Engagement and Participation Manager at North Northamptonshire Council since October 2022, Melanie has held various roles, including Engagement and Participation Officer and Community Development Project Team Leader. Prior experience includes serving as a Self Employment Specialist & Safeguarding Lead at Jobs 22 and a Business Associate & Assessor/Trainer at Newman Nouvelle Solutions. Additionally, Melanie has contributed to academia as an Associate Lecturer at the University of Northampton and has held leadership positions in several organizations, including as Careers Leader at Wrenn School and Regional Manager at Spurgeons. Melanie holds a PGDip in Community Education and a BA Hons in Community Management from De Montfort University and the University of Bedfordshire, respectively.
