Paul Woods

Paul Woods is a Senior Planning Officer with extensive experience in local planning and policy development, currently working at North Northamptonshire Council since April 2021. With a focus on implementing the Part 1 Local Plan, Paul leads key evidence base areas such as Climate Change and Housing. Prior roles include serving as a Senior Planning Officer at North Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit since 2015, where responsibilities encompassed project management, policy advising, and supervising consultants and junior staff. Paul has also held positions at the Borough Council of Wellingborough and Corby Borough Council, where expertise in housing needs, monitoring, and land use planning was developed. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Spatial Planning from Oxford Brookes University and a BSc in Geography and Physical Geography.
