Ammar Ben Salah

Ammar Ben Salah has a diverse range of work experience in the oil and gas industry. Ammar began their career in 2007 as a Process Engineer at PA Resources Tunisia, where they managed process-related activities for an offshore oil platform and an FPSO. Ammar was involved in engineering, design, installation, and operation, and also led site pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities.

In 2011, Ammar joined OMV, where they held multiple roles. As a Facilities Engineer, they focused on equipment and material selection, maintainability, availability, and sparing studies. Ammar later served as an Operations Team Leader for the South Tunisia Oil Development Project, managing the deployment of early production facilities and optimizing capital operating costs. Ammar also worked as the Operations Readiness & Assurance Team Leader for the Nawara Gas Project, overseeing operational activities, manpower requirements, maintenance planning, and plant design.

Most recently, Ammar joined North Oil Company Qatar in 2022 as an Operations Readiness & Assurance Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring the continual improvement of existing operations in the Al Shaheen Field, one of Qatar's largest offshore fields. Ammar provides operational input, reviews projects for safe commissioning and start-up, develops shutdown strategy plans, and supports the development of operating manuals and field projects.

Throughout their career, Ammar has demonstrated expertise in facility engineering, optimization, operational excellence, and project delivery.

Ammar Ben Salah obtained an Engineer's degree in Process Engineering from the National Engineering School of Gabes in Tunisia, which they pursued from 2004 to 2007. Additionally, they have certifications in OPITO Major Emergency Management from Falck Safety Services (Global) obtained in August 2018, and Competency Assessor from SQA – Scottish Qualifications Authority.
