Rui Ferreira

Rui Ferreira has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Rui started their career as a Business Analyst at aicep Portugal Global in 2009. Rui then joined Accenture as an SAP MM, FI, CO Consultant, where they implemented procurement and finance processes. Rui also led training sessions for SAP. In 2012, Rui joined Maersk Oil as a Contracts Engineer, responsible for managing tenders and contract negotiations for logistics and IT services. Rui also served as a Buyer, coordinating procurement operations for logistics, drilling, and wells departments. During their time at Maersk Oil, they led contract renegotiations resulting in significant cost savings. In 2016, Rui joined North Oil Company Qatar as a Contracts Engineer, where they played a crucial role in the transition and operation of the Al-Shaheen Field. Rui managed the tender process and post-award activities for logistics, engineering, and construction scopes. In 2017, they joined TotalEnergies Brazil as a Senior Contracts Engineer, supporting the company with contracts related to logistics, field operations, and drilling. Currently, Rui works at North Oil Company Qatar as a Senior Contracts Engineer, focusing on marine logistics and field operations.

Rui Ferreira began their education in 2003 and completed their BSc and MSc degrees in Economics, specializing in Finance, at Universidade de Aveiro in 2009. During their studies, they participated in the Erasmus Programme and spent a term at Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Katowicach in 2008. In 2021, Rui enrolled in the Practitioner Corporate Award Programme at CIPS - The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply, focusing on Procurement & Supply Chain. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Scotwork Advancing Negotiation Skills from Scotwork in October 2019, Contracts Strategy & Management from MDT International in December 2014, and SAP from Accenture in November 2009.
