Tarek Baghdadi

Tarek Baghdadi has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Tarek started their career as an Internship assistant project manager at SNC-Lavalin, where they supervised site managers, assisted project managers, and conducted technical studies on road works. Tarek then joined Saipem as an Engineer Apprentice at IFP School, completing technical courses on reservoir, drilling, and production fields. At Saipem, they conducted studies on HP/HT field equipment and flow assurance strategies. Tarek also worked as an R&D intern at Saipem, focusing on research and development projects.

Next, Tarek joined Halliburton, where they held various positions. Tarek started as a Field Engineer, managing and leading a team in a workshop, and handling completion tool projects across Europe. Tarek then became a Completion Tools Technical Professional/Sales Representative, responsible for after-sales service, technical support, and sales proposals for completion tools equipment. Finally, they served as a Senior Technical Professional, working on completion operations in the Al-Shaheen Offshore Oil Field and utilizing intelligent completions to improve efficiency.

Tarek then joined Assala Energy as a Completion Engineer, focusing on well integrity and completion activities. Tarek later transitioned to the role of Senior Completion and Well Intervention Engineer at North Oil Company Qatar, where they currently work, utilizing their expertise to enhance oil production through drilling and workover campaigns.

Outside of their main work experience, Tarek also pursued their passion for diving and became an Advanced Open Water Diver certified by PADI.

Tarek Baghdadi possesses a diverse education history that spans over several years. In 2003, they completed their Baccalauréat européen in the scientific field at Lycée Marc Chagall. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they attended Lycée Georges Clemenceau and pursued a CPGE degree in MPSI-MP*. Moving forward, they enrolled at Ecole spéciale des Travaux publics, du Bâtiment et de l'Industrie in 2008 and obtained a Civil Engineer degree. During this time, their studies focused on project management, steel construction, offshore, and concrete.

Tarek Baghdadi continued to expand their knowledge and academic achievements by pursuing a Master's degree in Well Drilling, Production engineering, and Reservoir at ENSPM - Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs from 2011 to 2013. This provided him with a specialized understanding of these fields.

Additionally, Tarek Baghdadi acquired the Drilling Well Control Level 4 certification from IWCF in November 2020. This certification adds to their expertise in well control and further demonstrates their commitment to professional development.
