Coordinator, Curriculum & Assessment at North Orange County ROP

Casey Riggs is the coordinator of curriculum and assessment at North Orange County ROP. Casey has been in this position since August 2020. Prior to that, they were the professional learning community lead at North Orange County Regional Occupational Program from August 2020 to July 2021. In this role, they planned and implemented staff development trainings for over 100 high school and middle school teachers. Casey also participated in the training and development of new teachers and collaborated on and facilitated teacher collaboration at monthly Professional Leading Community (PLC) team meetings. Casey has a passion for education and is always looking for ways to improve their pedagogy. Casey is an active member of the professional growth advisory board as a professional growth advisor for teachers, where they support and advises teachers for professional development opportunities.

Casey Riggs is currently working on their PhD in Education: Curriculum and Instruction at Capella University. Prior to this, they completed a Preliminary Administrative Services Credential Program at UC Irvine and a Master of Fine Arts in Photography at Savannah College of Art and Design. They also hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from The Art Institutes. Additionally, Casey Riggs is an Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design Using Adobe Photoshop and holds a Teacher License in Career And Technical Education from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
