Ruwani Jayasekara

Ruwani Jayasekara has extensive experience in the field of sustainability and compliance. Ruwani started their career at SGS in 2014 as an Environmental and Social Compliance Auditor, where they worked until 2015. From 2015 to 2022, Ruwani served as a Compliance Specialist at MAS Holdings. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Sustainability and Health & Safety at North Sails since 2022.

Ruwani Jayasekara has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Environmental Conservation and Management from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka, which was obtained between 2009 and 2013. Ruwani also holds a diploma in Quality Management from the Sri Lanka Standard Institute. In addition, Ruwani completed the SA 8000 Basic Auditor Course from RINA Training Factory in India and the ISO 14001 - Environment Management System Lead Auditor course from SGS Lanka Private Limited. Currently, they are pursuing a Masters in Labor Relation and Human Resource Management at the University of Colombo, which they started in 2018.
