Astrid Vliebergh

Astrid Vliebergh has over 16 years of work experience in various roles. Astrid currently serves as the Head of Commercial Affairs at North Sea Port since September 2019. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of unit Economy, European and International Cooperation at the Province of East Flanders from April 2013 to August 2019. Astrid also served as a Project Officer at INTERREG IV A 2 Seas from August 2008 to April 2013. Astrid started their career at Provincie Oost-Vlaanderen, where they worked on transnational and interregional cooperation projects in INTERREG IIIB & IIIC from 2003 to 2008.

Astrid Vliebergh completed their education history with a MA degree in European studies from KULeuven, specializing in EU politics and EU law, during the years 2001 to 2002. Prior to that, they obtained a MA degree in Germanic languages from UGent between 1997 and 2001, focusing on English linguistics, English literature, and General linguistics. Additionally, Astrid has received certifications in Havenbeheer from UGent Maritiem Instituut and Project Management from Vlerick Business School. Astrid also has some knowledge in Spanish, although the institution from which they obtained this certification is unknown.
