Daan Schalck

Daan Schalck has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Daan is currently the CEO of North Sea Port, a position they have held since January 2018. Previously, they served as the Chairman of MORA, Mobiliteitsraad Vlaanderen, from January 2007 to June 2023. Before that, they were the CEO of Port of Ghent from June 2009 to January 2018, and the General Director of Maatschappij voor het haven-, grond- en industrialisatiebeleid van het Linkerscheldeoevergebied from September 2007 to May 2009. Daan also worked as a Senior Manager Public Sector at Ernst & Young from August 2004 to September 2007, and as a Representative at Kamer van Volksvertegenwoordigers from July 1999 to October 2004. Additionally, they served as an Advisor to the Alderman for Port, Economic Development, and Utilities at Stadsbestuur Gent from January 1995 to July 1999. Daan'searly career includes working as the Head of the Commercial Department at TMVW from 1988 to 1994.
