Matt Mathias

Matt graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in History and Political Science. While at UMD, Matt played Division 1 hockey for the Bulldogs and was a four-year member of the WCHA All-Academic team. After college Matt played professional hockey for two years. In 2005, Matt began his career in the Insurance business. He joined North Shore Bank in 2019 to form and manage the new Insurance division, North Shore Insurance. Matt specializes in Property and Casualty insurance and is also licensed to sell Life and Health insurance. Matt enjoys the daily interactions with current and new clients. He believes in a slowdown approach to business and really enjoys getting to know his clients first. Matt’s goal is to find the best policy for his clients, at the best price and develop long lasting relationships for years to come. Matt is a member of the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. When he is not working, he spends his time coaching youth hockey at the Portman Amateur Hockey Association, and as a Varsity Assistant Coach for the Duluth East High School boys’ hockey team.
