Valderes has worked in different companies such as North Shore Senior Center, JuiceRx, O'Connor Casting Company, Solutions for Care, NextLevel Health, Family Health Network, Aging Care Connections, Pillars, Walgreens, and the Department of Child and Family Services. Valderes holds a Bachelors degree in Social Work from Concordia University Chicago and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Social Work from Morton College.
