North Shore Senior Center
Kim Weber, LCPC, QIDP, currently serves as the H.O.P.E. Care Coordinator at North Shore Senior Center, focusing on assessing nursing home residents and developing comprehensive, person-centered service plans. Previous experience includes roles as a Senior Case Manager at Disability Services of America LLC, where support was provided to Social Security beneficiaries, and Individual Service Coordinator/Case Manager at COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVES UNLIMITED, serving adults with intellectual disabilities. Kim Weber has also worked at The Douglas Center, Little City Foundation, and Family Shelter Service, providing case management and counseling services to individuals with special needs and victims of domestic violence. Holding a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Benedictine University, Kim Weber combines extensive experience with a solid educational background in mental health and social services.
North Shore Senior Center
Our mission is to support the independence and well-being of older adults, enhance their dignity and self respect, and promote their participation in and contribution toward all aspects of community life. Since 1956 we have helped older adults remain in their homes with independence, dignity and connection to their communities. Beginning at the Winnetka Community House, North Shore Senior Center has always offered a combination of services which include recreational/educational programs, volunteer opportunities and support services for seniors. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, with highly-trained social workers, counselors and professionals on staff. Together, this team provides programs and events for active older adults, as well as information and outreach services for families. North Shore Senior Center's social workers also provide assistance to seniors at hospitals, park districts, senior centers and senior living communities throughout the metropolitan area. As a means of furthering its mission, North Shore Senior Center provides many outlets for intellectual and social growth. At the Arthur C. Nielsen, Jr. Campus in Northfield we offer classes, lectures and clubs highlight the arts, music, languages, humanities, current events, politics, travel, exercise and fitness.
