Rocktim Barua

Rocktim Barua is a Laboratory Officer at North South University, responsible for conducting lab courses in Molecular Biology, Plant Biochemistry, and Molecular Biotechnology, as well as preparing lab protocols and supervising research students. Previously, Rocktim served as a Molecular Biologist at Chevron Clinical Laboratory, where viral RNA extraction and RT-PCR analysis were conducted. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Chittagong, research focused on isolating endophytic bacteria and studying bacterial interactions with viral proteins. Other experiences include roles as a Biotechnologist and Biology Instructor, and internships in research involving diabetes epidemiology and Chikungunya outbreak analysis. Rocktim holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Chittagong.
