Linna Yang

Director, Digital Health Applications at North York General Hospital

Linna Yang has extensive work experience in healthcare and digital health applications. Linna began their career at Rouge Valley Health System in 2008, where they served as a Clinical Informatics Specialist. In this role, they took on various responsibilities including project management, workflow analysis, leadership in e-Health initiatives, and system analysis and implementation. Linna also played a vital role in the implementation of the electronic health record and documentation systems in the Birthing Centre. Following their time at Rouge Valley Health System, Linna joined North York General Hospital in 2013. Linna initially worked as a Clinician Application Consultant before being promoted to Manager of Clinical Informatics. Currently, they are the Director of Digital Health Applications at the hospital. Linna's experience also includes a position as a Registered Nurse at The Scarborough Hospital, where they worked from 2004 until 2022.

Linna Yang completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Ryerson University from 2005 to 2008. Linna also pursued a degree in Health Informatics (MHI) at the University of Toronto from 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, they attained a certification in Cardiovascular Nursing (CCN(C)) from the Canadian Nurses Association in 2008. In the earlier years, Linna pursued a Computer Programmer Analyst program at Centennial College from 2000 to 2002, and they also obtained certification as an Oracle database administrator (Oracle certified DBA) in 2000.
