Phil Shin

Phil Shin serves in multiple prestigious roles at North York General Hospital, including Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee, Chief Medical Information Officer, Physician, Medical Director of Critical Care, and Chief of Medicine since July 2006. In addition, Phil Shin holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto since May 2017 and works as a Hospital Donation Physician for the Trillium Gift of Life Network. Phil Shin is a Board Governor for the North York General Foundation from July 2021 until June 2024 and served as a Medical Consultant at Deloitte in early 2018. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Bioethics from the University of Toronto, a Certificate in Patient Safety and Quality Improvement, and multiple Fellowships in Critical Care and Internal Medicine, all complemented by an MD from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor's degree from McMaster University.
