Sarah Bhanji

Sarah Bhanji is a Canadian actuary who is currently the Chief Actuary at Northbridge Financial Corporation. Sarah has over fifteen years of experience in the actuarial field, and has worked at Aviva Canada for four years, where they served as the Chief Actuary. In this role, Sarah was responsible for leading the actuarial function, building a strong actuarial team, and providing support to the business. Sarah was also involved in corporate planning/forecasting, claims management, and Solvency II reporting. Prior to their time at Aviva Canada, Sarah worked at a number of other companies in actuarial roles. Sarah is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.

Sarah Bhanji completed their undergraduate degree in mathematics with a major in actuarial science from the University of Waterloo. Sarah then obtained certification from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries as a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and from the Canadian Actuarial Society as a Fellowship of the Canadian Actuarial Society.

They work with Lana Wood - EVP, Western Region, Paul Gardner - SVP, Ontario & Atlantic Canada, and Christopher Harness - CIO. Their manager is Silvy Wright, President & CEO.
