Alexandra Shimalla

Alexandra Shimalla is a versatile freelance journalist and writer with extensive experience in higher education and education technology. As the owner of Alexandra Shimalla LLC since September 2013, Alexandra has contributed to numerous publications, including Richmond Hill Reflections, Delight Gluten-free Magazine, and EdTech Magazine. In addition to freelance work, Alexandra serves as an Internal Communication Specialist at Northeast Georgia Health System, managing projects and editing internal communications. Previous roles include content writing at 3 Aspens Media, communications specialist positions at Emory University and UCF College of Community Innovation and Education, and various writing and editing positions in academia and media. Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Stetson University.
