Allison Bauer

Allison Bauer serves as the Associate Chair for External Relations and Associate Teaching Professor at Northeastern University, teaching courses related to the American Health Care System and Healthcare Policy. With a strong foundation in health policy, Allison held the position of Senior Consultant at Root Cause, providing strategic consulting to enhance the impact of various organizations. Previous roles include Director at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, where focus was on combating the opioid epidemic, and Senior Director of Health & Wellness at The Boston Foundation, overseeing significant grantmaking initiatives. Additional experience includes positions as Chief Counsel & Staff Director for the Joint Committee on Mental Health & Substance Abuse and various teaching roles at academic institutions. Allison holds a JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, an MSW from Virginia Commonwealth University, and a BA in Political Science from the University of Rochester.
